ā€œLuncheon With The Expertsā€ is a recurring educational outreach seriesĀ (previously hosted by the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation) aimed at patients, caregivers, and the broader neuroendocrine cancer community. The sessions are hosted by Rain Bennett.


The series featuresĀ medical specialists — oncologists, surgeons, researchers, and other clinical experts — in neuroendocrine cancer and answer audience questions live via chat.


Programs are typically delivered liveĀ (over Facebook LiveĀ and YouTube Live) at noon Eastern Time, allowing participants to join during their lunch break.


Live sessions are recorded and will be available afterward.



ABOUT MINTALLAH HAIDER, MD




Gastrointestinal Oncologist

Moffitt Cancer Center


Dr. Haider is an Associate Member in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center and an Associate Professor of Oncologic Sciences at University of South Florida. Dr. Haider received her Bachelor of Science as well as her Medical Degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA followed by Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer CenterĀ  University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. Dr. Haiders clinical practice is focused on neuroendocrine tumor (NET) oncology. As a member of the Endocrine Program Multidisciplinary team, she also treats paraganglioma and pheochromocytoma. In parallel, Dr. Haider leads and participates in clinical research focused on the systemic therapies of these tumors. As a Clinical Educator, she participates in the education of medical students, residents and fellows as well as community outreach. She is an active member of the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS), where she serves on the Continuing Education Committee and has been an invited moderator and speaker at NANETS national and regional seminars. Dr. Haider shares her expertise as a speaker at community medical societies as well as patient educational groups. She serves patients at Moffitt Cancer Center - Magnolia and Moffitt International Plaza.

The sessions are hosted by Rain Bennett, a two-time Emmy-nominated filmmaker, author, and experienced host who produces and leads live conversations on behalf of the Neuroendocrine Cancer Foundation. Bennett has been involved with the neuroendocrine cancer community as a longtime filmmaker and supporter, using his storytelling and interview skills to bring expert perspectives to patients and caregivers.
